WAR!

Captain America (Chris Evans) vs Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) Promo Art.
...this was my first concept for the "WAR!" poster before i was asked to show Iron Man with his helmet on.
In both concepts there are things i like more in the one concept than in the other and vice versa (e.g. i prefer the glove in front of cap's shield instead of the helmet beneath his shield. I wasn't also very happy how Iron Man's face plate came looked in the end but of course showing Robert Downey Rr being as furios as Chris Evans makes this version more emotional for me. On the other hand - and i read a lot about that people had a problem with it - I like showing Iron Man hitting Cap with his bare fist.)
When i worked on this illustration it was a shot in the dark since I was hired for this project long before the movie was finished and so I was very happy to see that their final brawl in the movie had a very similar tone.
